Sam Smith Corporate now offers the mid-range version of this powerful tool to corporate clients in the intermediate travel arena. This tool is especially useful for the growing corporate who has indentified the need to establish basic corporate travel policies, though is not as yet in a position to adopt the full GetThere system.
The system allows for preferred airlines, car rental and hotel chains, if desired as well as for crucial elements of fundamental travel booking policy. Corporates may book travel and the bookings are passed into our main Sabre GDS system for manual checking and conformity approval. The system so allows for individual corporate policy adoption in the booking stage as well as agency monitoring. All elements of travel diary management are also retained.
Prospective clients will need to open a trading account with Sam Smith Travel and following approval, will be setup with an account name and password for each individual who may access the system. Once the account is set up, either credit and or term account, bookings may be made on the system for flights, hotels and car rental.
When a booking is made, this is passed to our Sabre GDS (Global Distribution System). We will then review the booking, follow up any notes or queries and issue the tickets. If requested, and if the indicated fare allows, bookings may be "held" whilst meetings or other travel details are arranged.
We will ensure any procedural requirements are met, such as provision of order numbers as individual clients may require.
